Encore: Lapis And Gold at The Museum AGAIN

Sorry about the carnelian- it just snuck in there.

Design process: the stone beads have been carved to match the shape of the gold ones. The design of the gold beads has been lead by the material properties; gold lends itself to being beaten into flat sheet- sheet lends itself to being rolled into tubes- tubes can be made more interesting by stacking- stacks can be made more interesting by graduating.
(somebody, please just make me a museum guide / design lecturer!!)

This one a huge drinking straw for beer.
